Father’s Love #3

When you make a mistake, run towards the Father God
not away from Him.

“And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?” So he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.” And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?””

Genesis‬ ‭3:8-11‬ ‭

Adam and Eve have committed high treason by disobeying the commandment of the Almighty God and have joined themselves to the ancient serpent. It was Satan’s deception that led to the fall of humanity.

The Father God is omniscient – He knows everything – past, present and future. There is nothing hidden from Him. He is everywhere and He knows everything. When Adam ate of the forbidden fruit, didn’t the Father God know it? Was He not aware that high treason has been committed by His Man? Did He become aware when Adam told Him about what had happened? No! A million times No! The Father God knows everything! Hallelujah!

Look at the Father’s approach to Adam as He was walking in the cool of the day looking for Adam. The Father knew He had committed high treason yet look at His words directed towards Adam.

Where are you?

The Father didn’t come in anger and with wrathful accusations and slander. He didn’t shout at Adam by saying, I gave you the garden, I gave you all the trees, I gave you a beautiful woman and I did so many things for you but still you disobeyed me, you ungrateful leech? I shouldn’t have created you! You are such a big mistake! I was better off without you? You have destroyed humanity! One commandment you couldn’t keep, O Adam How foolish you are!

Of all the things God could have said, yet the Father says to Adam, Where are you? Can you see the Father’s love. Adam responded and said I heard your voice and I ran because I was naked. Again look at the response of the Father, Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?

When you make a mistake, the Father wants you to run towards Him not away from Him. He is the only One who can fix all your mistakes and restore you back to where you rightfully belong.

The Father wanted Adam to confess His mistake and draw back to Him. Not run away from Him. Satan painted a wrong picture of the Father in Adam and Eve’s mind. Through His deceptive tactics, He convinced them that the Father doesn’t have their best interests in His heart. They believed those lies about the Father and ran away from Him instead of running to Him. Instead of confessing His mistakes, He began to pass the blame to His wife and eventually to the Father Himself. “The woman YOU gave me

Many believers when they make a mistake do what Adam and Eve did, they run away from God. Adam and Eve ran away from God and made fig leaves aprons for themselves. They tried to help themselves and relied on earthly things to cover their mistakes and comfort their soul. You cannot help yourself.

Run to the Father instead and confess your mistakes. Don’t try to justify. Don’t try to blame. Don’t give excuses. Just confess your mistake to the Father. Remember, the blood of Jesus has made forgiveness available for you. The Father will receive you, comfort you and strengthen you. He will enable and empower you to live above the lustful temptations and wickedness of this dark world.

Your mistakes don’t change the Father. The Father is Love and He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Your mistakes do have consequences but remember the Father is bigger than your mistakes and way more bigger than the consequences of your mistakes. He will help you and restore your dignity. Once you jump into His hands, He will take care of whatever needs to be taken care of. You are His child and He is your loving Father. He is for you all the time, all the time!

You are victorious in Christ!
