Let’s read the same verse in The Passion Translation
“And don’t allow yourselves to be weary in planting good seeds, for the season of reaping the wonderful harvest you’ve planted is coming!”
Galatians 6:9
This verse is an encouragement to all the sowers in the kingdom of God. The Holy Spirit tells us, the season of reaping is coming! Therefore we must not give up and quit on sowing good seeds into the kingdom.
A lot of people get discouraged and weary when they don’t see quick results. When they don’t see quick results, they tend to believe that since it didn’t come quickly it won’t ever come. That’s not true. Understand the significance of seasons.
“Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years;”
Genesis 1:14
“To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:”
Ecclesiastes 3:1
Whenever you sow, you must do it with an understanding of seasons. There is morning, afternoon, evening and night. You don’t have night all through the 24 hours. There is summer, rains, winter and spring. You don’t have rains all through the 12 months.
Whenever you sow, you activate the season of sowing and reaping. In the kingdom, there is no specific season for sowing. The sowing season is always NOW! The verse says, do not become weary in sowing good seeds… Why? Because the Spirit of God wants you to understand the importance of seasons. When you understand seasons, you won’t become weary in sowing rather you will be encouraged and energised to sow more and sow consistently.
The Apostle Paul says, in due season you will reap if you do not lose heart. This means if you do lose heart and get discouraged, you will miss your season of harvest. Therefore it is your responsibility to keep your heart encouraged and refuse to become weary throughout the seasons. Let me share a few keys which would help you in doing that.
1. Keep sowing! – You know there is a season of harvest coming and don’t you desire to have super abundance in your time of reaping. Don’t you desire to have a consistent season of reaping because of your consistent sowing. I live here in this zone! Hallelujah! This is the law of God and it is how the kingdom works. The Lord said, seedtime and harvest will never cease as long as the earth remains. Continue to sow into the kingdom. Continue to sow to your man of God. Continue to sow towards the believers in the body of Christ. Never stop sowing. Have a sowing mindset. Look for opportunities to sow. Your income is not based on your salary, it is based on sowing. Your prosperity is not based on what comes to you rather what goes from you into the kingdom.
2. Keep speaking! – By this I mean confess the Word of God and speak in tongues. There are scriptures in the word of God that talk about financial prosperity. It is important you locate those verses and fill your mouth with it. These are signs of high expectation. Saints who expect a harvest have a busy mouth. Check the mouth of the ones who have become discouraged and weary in their sowing, you can locate discouragement and weariness in their speech. You don’t find the word of faith in their mouth. Speak the prosperity verses daily. Speak in tongues daily. As you do, the Holy Spirit will guide your spirit to the harvests that have been ordained for you.
3. Keep thanking and praising God! – It is on God’s word that you have sown and given. It is His Word that tells you of the season of harvest. Therefore you know, the harvest of all the seeds you have sown and are sowing is coming. Hallelujah! Therefore you rejoice and give God thanks and praise Him for He never changes and His word is truth. Your eyes are on Him for He is the Lord of the Harvest. As you look to Him and behold His words, you get excited for you know your due season is here!
