Angels play a very important role in the plans and purposes of God. All throughout the Bible you will see the ministry of Angels from the book of Genesis all the way to the book of Revelation – carrying God’s message, executing His commands and His judgements, keeping and protecting His people, guiding and providing for His people.
Angels are created, invisible spirit beings, who serve and worship God day and night. They excel in strength and do the commandments of their Creator, God Almighty.
Let me give you a few example of the mighty strength of angels.
- II Kings 19:35 -.. An angel of the Lord went out, and killed in the camp of the Assyrians one hundred and eighty-five thousand; and when people arose early in the morning, there were the corpses—all dead.
- Daniel 6:21-22 – Then Daniel said to the king, “O king, live forever! My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths, so that they have not hurt me, because I was found innocent before Him; and also, O king, I have done no wrong before you.”
- Acts 5:19-20 – But at night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out, and said, “Go, stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this life.”
Hebrews 1:13-14
But to which of the angels has He ever said: “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool”? Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?
The day you received Jesus Christ as your Lord was the greatest day of your life. You inherited salvation. You were born in the family of God and you became a child of God.
Romans 10:9-10
that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
God the Father has assigned angels to be with each of His children to minister for them. From the time you got born again, your angel is with you and He will be with you forever. You may not be aware of him but he is right there with you. Jesus is called the King of kings. You are a king and no king ever walks alone. Angels, your servants walk with you.
Angels are sent to serve you, to minister to you and to minister for you.
In the Greek, the word minister in the above verse refers to executing the commands of others. Angels are ministering spirits sent forth to minister for us – in simple words – to carry out and execute our command. Angels are waiting on you to execute what you command them to do. Your words are so important. What you say is so crucial in activating the angelic ministry for your benefit.
Psalms 103:20
Bless the Lord , you His angels, Who excel in strength, who do His word, heeding the voice of His word.
Always remember, angels belong to God and are sent by Him to minister for you. This verse gives us the key to activate the angelic ministry – Angels do His Word, they hear with attention and interest the voice of God’s word.
There are a couple of things I want to share with you from this verse.
- Angels do His Word – God’s will and His purpose.
- Angels hear the voice of His Word – give voice to God’s Word in your daily Word confession.
- Angels angel hear the voice of His Word – give voice to God’s Word in your daily prayers which includes praying in tongues.
I. Angels do His Word – God’s will and His purpose.
The ministry of the angels moves around the plans and purposes of God. God’s plan is their boundary and their sphere. They won’t work outside of and against God’s plan. All throughout the Bible, we see angels working on fulfilling God’s purpose and plans. Consecrate and dedicate yourself to the general plan of God and to the specific plan of God for your life. Many a times, the ministry of the angels is limited, restricted and hindered for believers who ignore God’s plan and focus on their own plans. Your plan is not good enough. God’s plan is the best.
Psalms 34:7 – The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them.
As long as you are in God’s plan – with your focus on doing what God wants you to do – you will see supernatural results in your life mainly because of the ministry of Angels who do God’s word which is God’s will. Things begin to happen. Acceleration happens. Promotion happens. God’s kingdom expands. Many people are blessed. Jesus is glorified.
You belong to God. You are not your own. You are His forever. Give yourself to God. Give yourself to the plans of God – the general plan of God which is the written word of God and to the specific plan of God as revealed to you by the Holy Spirit through intimate fellowship.
II. Angels hear the voice of His Word – give voice to God’s Word in your daily Word confession.
Angels don’t just do anything you say, they do the word of God, hearing the voice of His Word. Since they hear the voice of God’s word, won’t it be wise for us to give voice to God’s Word and activate angels to work for us? Yes!
Angels are under obligation to do the Word when you speak the Word and command them to execute it in the name of Jesus.
Many have not experienced the ministry of angels because first of all they are not aware of angels and they haven’t given voice to God’s Word. When you don’t speak God’s word and when you speak contrary to God’s word, you hinder the ministry of your angels.
Psalms 91:11-12
For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
Your angels are on assignment by God to minister for you – to protect, to provide, to guide, to strengthen, to deliver, to preserve you – so that you can experience the blessings of your salvation.
This is why, you must speak the Word and be consistent in doing so. Put your angels to work. Employ your angels. Give them something to work with. Declaring God’s Word by faith activates your angels to minister for you.
Today it’s sad to say, many angels are unemployed. One of the main reasons for their unemployment is because the ones they have been assigned to never speak the word consistently. Some speak the Word on Sunday and the rest of the week they speak contrary to God’s word. Some speak the word when the times are good but in challenging times they speak differently. Lack of consistency in your Word confession hinders your angels.
Consistent confession of God’s Word activates the angelic ministry for your life.
III. Angels angel hear the voice of His Word – give voice to God’s Word in your daily prayers and pray in tongues.
Give voice to God’s Word in your prayer life. When you pray, pray according to God’s word. Look at this verse,
I John 5:14-15 – Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
John 15:7 – If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
When you give voice to God’s Word in your prayer. Angels are released and they bring answers to your prayers. When Daniel prayed, an angel came to Daniel with the answer from God. When Peter was imprisoned, the church was praying steadfastly for their leader. God sent an angel and supernaturally rescued Peter from the prison. Angels get activated when you give voice to God’s Word in your prayers. Pray God’s word!
We know, prayer is not just in our known langues but mainly in the unknown language. I am talking about speaking in tongues, also known as praying in the Spirit.
When you pray in tongues, your spirit (by the Holy Spirit within you) prays. The Holy Spirit gives the utterance to your spirit and you give voice to those words. You speak out the words and utterances of the Holy Spirit. This is why, when you speak in tongues you are praying the perfect will of the Father. This activates and highly increases the angelic ministry on your behalf. Remember now, angels do God’s word which is God’s will. God’s will is their boundary and their limit.
Release angels in the name of Jesus!
Angels, in the name of Jesus, I release you. Go and execute the Word of God which I have spoken. Go and execute the God’s word which I have prayed. Angels, go, do your part in the fulfillment of God’s plan and purposes in my life. Open the right doors, bring in the right people, bring in divine connections and bring in the resources I need to fulfill the plan of God. In the name of Jesus, I command the angels to bring to me prosperity in my spirit, in my home, in my body, in my family life, in my finances and 8n our ministry. I walk in the fullness of the blessings of salvation. I walk in the fullness of the blessings of the new covenant. My angels are ministering to me and for me. I am supernaturally protected. I am supernaturally preserved. I am supernaturally prospering. I am always at the right place at the right time with the right connections. I am moving up ward and going forward all the time fulfilling the plan of God for my life. I walk in abundance. I live in the overflow of God’s blessings. I enjoy the more than enough zone. Thank you Father in the name of Jesus.
Angels play a very important role in God’s plan for your life and they are with you to help you. Be aware of your angels. Cooperate with your angels. Learn to put them to work. Let them serve you, minster to you and minister for you uninterruptedly.
We don’t worship and serve angels because they are created beings. We only worship and serve the Creator, Jesus our Lord.
