how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
Acts 10:38
Jesus healed all who were oppressed by the devil. Think about this, when you read the Gospels and you see so many people getting healed – to name a few the lady with the issue of blood, blind Bartimaeus, Lazarus… All of them were oppressed by the devil.
Sickness is Satanic oppression
Sickness comes from Satan. Never comes from God. God doesn’t make people sick. Satan is the author of sickness and disease.
So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound—think of it—for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?”
Luke 13:16
Whom Satan has bound…. Physically she was bent over for eighteen years but the source of the problem was not physical. It says a spirit of infirmity had bound her.
Remember sickness is a spiritual problem which manifests in the physical body.
Someone invisible kept her bent for eighteen years. Medical science would never agree that root of the problem is spiritual. The manifestation of the problem is physical but the root of the problem is spiritual. No medicine – allopathic, homeopathic or ayurvedic can reach and destroy the root of the problem. Let me say this, I am not against these medicines. You can take these medicines if you desire it. However only God’s word can reach and fix the spiritual root of the problem.
Satan is a thief. Sickness is a thief
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
John 10:10
Sickness is a thief because it steals your time, steals your money and steals your joy of fellowship with people. There is nothing good about sickness and disease. No one gets excited when they become sick. Even the ignorant ones who say God made me sick run to their doctors to get rid of what God gas given them. Satan is the author of sickness and disease.
Adam opened the door to sickness and disease
Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned—
Romans 5:12
Have you ever wondered about the origin of sickness? Well, it was in the garden of Eden. Adam represents mankind. When Adam disobeyed God and joined Himself to Satan; sin and its consequences entered humanity. Adam by his union with the ancient serpent opened the door for the curse. Sickness is a curse and it can never come from the Father of lights.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
James 1:17
These verses will help you see the spirit behind sickness and disease. When sickness comes against you, remember it is not the Lord putting it on you to teach you something. If there is sickness in your body today, know it’s not from God Almighty rather it is from the real enemy Satan.
Don’t accept anything that comes from Satan.
Resist everything that comes from Satan in the name of Jesus.
The death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ is the evidence of Satan’s eternal defeat and the eternal defeat of sin and its consequences – which includes sickness and disease.
