In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Before there was any world, angels, planets or universe, there was the Word. The Word was the beginning. The Greek word for Word is Logos. This Logos which was with the Father became flesh and dwelt among us.
Jesus is called the Word (Logos) of God in the Book of Revelation. Logos stands for the written Word of God which reveals the general will of God.
This written word of God was in the beginning. Before there were any man or man made institutions, there was the written word of God. Therefore, the written word of God is supreme. Anything against or contrary to the written word of God is false and a lie no matter who says it or how many people say it.
The world tells us that humans evolved over a long period of time and that our closest living relatives are chimpanzees, and that our lineage split from theirs about 7 million years ago. They tell us humans are primates which puts us in the same class or group as monkeys and apes because of our similar anatomy, behavior and DNA evidence.
This is science, which is knowledge about or study of the natural world based on facts learned through experiments and observation. It’s based on the five physical senses. Therefore it’s so limited. As you begin to explore more and discover more, you will come up with new conclusions and findings. It’s unending. Rest is blind assumptions.
In the beginning was not Charles Darwin, in the beginning was the written word of God. Science should never lead the way. Science should follow the written word of God. When science follows the Logos, the experiment and observation will have direction and human senses will rejoice and magnify the wisdom of God Almighty.
Genesis 1:26
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
Humans are not primates as many assume. It’s a demonic attempt to undermine the existence of the Creator and mock moral accountability. Humans are made in the image and likeness of God and created with a purpose to have close fellowship with the Creator. Since the Logos was in the beginning and the Logos is the beginning, the written Word of God is the highest form of reality in any and every matter.
Another lie is The Big Bang, which is a scientific theory about how the universe started, and then made the stars and galaxies we see today. This theory claims the universe began as a very hot, small, and dense superforce, with no stars, atoms, form, or structure (called a “singularity”). Then about 13.8 billion years ago, space expanded very quickly. This started the formation of atoms, which eventually led to the formation of stars and galaxies. It’s dangerous – limited knowledge, blind assumptions lead to weak and ever changing conclusions.
As our technology and equipments becomes more advanced and sophisticated, this will broaden our discovery and research which in return will impact our conclusions.
The Logos – God’s written Word tells us,

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
In the beginning was the Logos (the written word of God). Therefore the Logos is supreme.
- The word of God is above man, men and man made institutions. Anything contrary to God’s written Word is a lie, no matter who says it, how many say it or which esteemed institution says it.
- The Word of God is above the experiences, visions and dreams of man. Never lower the word of God to match your visions, dreams and experiences. You may have a vision or a dream but if it’s not in line with the Word, discard it.
- The Word of God is above the all thoughts, opinions, views, findings, discoveries, analysis and conclusions of men. No matter how hard you research, if your discovery is not in line with the Logos, it’s trash.
- The Word of God is above all cultures and traditions, all kingdoms, all constitutions and all governments. The Word of God was the beginning, therefore every culture, kingdom, constitution and government must be framed and developed in line and according to it. No one can change the Word, the Word is the beginning therefore the Word is above all. God’s Word is forever settled in heaven.
- The Word of God is above the five senses of man. Your physical senses are very limited. You haven’t seen everything, you haven’t heard everything, you don’t know everything. Wouldn’t it be wise, to trust the written Word of the One who is all knowing, omniscient, omnipotent and eternal.
We don’t alter the Word to fit our lifestyle, we alter our lifestyle to fit the Word. The Word is the beginning.
Think about this, The All knowing, all powerful, omniscient God has given us His written Word. He knows more than humans and He is way more smarter than us. We are so blessed to have the Logos of God.
In the beginning was the Word therefore the Word is Supreme in our lives. The Word of God is our standard and our guide for life. When we live according to the Word, we can never go wrong. Because we have God’s written Word, we know reality – the true nature of things.
Psalms 138:2
I will worship toward Your holy temple, And praise Your name For Your lovingkindness and Your truth; For You have magnified Your word above all Your name.
The Lord has placed His Word above Himself. That’s the Supremacy of God’s Word. The Lord will never tell you anything or show you anything that is against His written Word. If that happens, then be assured, the one talking to you is definitely not God.
In living a faith life, you must settle this in your thinking, there is no authority higher than God’s written Word. The Logos is the highest standard and the highest reality! God’s written Word is Supreme!
In the beginning was the Word.
